About Us

About Us

Revision House is a community driven to show God's unconditional and redemptive love to all people, equip people to their purpose, and propel people into their God-ordained mission.

We are a multicultural church focused on creating a culture of hope, healing, and
transformation through the message of Jesus Christ, his death on the cross, and his resurrection. We are truly a church for all people who seek to know God and have an authentic relationship with him.

Our church is a spirit-filled body of believers empowered to demonstrate God’s love and power daily. Being spirit-filled is more than spiritual gifts; it is the ability to show the world that God is real, the Holy Spirit is still alive today, and that we are governed by the Spirit not just in signs but in our daily lives.

We are an equipping church. We teach and preach the word with understanding and connect it to our daily lives. We equip people to live a life that is a witness of God’s love, grace, and power and what it means to walk in wisdom and follow God.

Our heart and our goal is to live out the meaning of revision and see people through God’s eyes, love them with his heart, and propel them to their purpose with his truth and power

The Heart of Revision House

Watch Bishop Cas explain what the heartbeat is that drives the work we do at Revision House.

Our History

“The Lord answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it. For the vision is yet for the appointed time;cit testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late. Look, his ego is inflated; he is without integrity. But the righteous one will live by his faith.”

-- Habakkuk 2:2-4 (CSB)

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.
Ephesians 2:4-10 (CSB)

Initially established as True Vision Christian Community in 2017, Revision House is an new chapter and extension of the work that God has blessed to do in Lancaster and the world.

The initial vision for True Vision Christian Community came to Pastor Cas at the age of nine. In a dream, God revealed to him that he would be a pastor, start a church, and the name of the church would be True Vision. Twenty years later, the dream became a reality.

The planning stage of True Vision Christian Community began in March 2017, was registered through the Ohio Secretary of State on May 23, 2017, and held its initial service service on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Fire House Church in Carroll, OH . During the pre-launch phase, TVCC gathered at Eastgate Event Center and Miller Park. TVCC officially launched on Sunday, September 10, 2017 with bimonthly services at the Ohio Glass Museum and began weekly services in January 2018 in the back of A Season in Time in Downtown Lancaster. Since then, we have been blessed to worship at Connexion West and New Connections Worship Center as well as our former building at 706 W. Wheeling Street.

We have participated and partnered with several groups including Community Walking With Christ, Grace Haven Ministries, and Lancaster Think Tank on Poverty and participated in several local events.

2022-2024 served as a time of transition and healing for the church. In December 2023, God released Bishop Cas to close the chapter on True Vision as an act of healing and refocusing. Also, the closure of our mother church, Judah Christian Community, and our collaborative work with A Voice From God Ministries and Abba Ministries in Columbus prepared us for a new move.

As our story continues to be written, we hope that you consider helping us build it.

You Have Questions? We Have Answers!

Our desire with every gathering is to access the transforming and empowering presence of God and leave changed to affect those around us.

We are not worried about what you wear, who you are, where your from, what race you are, your politics, how you identify, or other things that divide. All are welcome to come into our space, worship with us, and belong with our loving community.

To help people learn more about who we are and to prepare those who choose to visit, we have compiled some frequently asked questions to help.

Preparing for a Visit

Parking and Access

Lancaster

  • Parking and building access are in the rear of the building. You can access the parking lot via Walnut St./Scipio Smith St. and take the alley next to Allen Chapel. The entrance is behind Allen Chapel on the left.
  • Because we share parking with Allen Chapel, spots may fill. You are welcome to park on any side streets near the building.
  • You will enter through the door on the left and go down the flight of stairs as you first come in.
    • Note: We currently do not have access to the building for those with mobility needs. We are actively addressing the issue and will provide updates.

Columbus

  • Parking is available in front of Abba Ministries and in the lot immediately next to the building.
  • You may enter through either the double doors facing the large parking lot or the single door on the side facing the auto shop.
    • Note: You will be walking directly into the worship space.

What happens once I enter the worship space/sanctuary?

You will be greeted by our leaders and members and will be able to get seated and settled. We have activity packs available for kids up to age 9 to help them be engaged during service.

How long is service?

Service averages between 60-90 minutes. We may go over for a special service, to allow ample time for people to receive prayer and ministry, or if the Holy Spirit changes the program.

Will there be Children’s Ministry?

Currently, we do not offer Children’s Ministry. We love children and encourage kids to participate in the service. If we are at a park (yes, that’s a thing), we make sure to give ample time for kids and adults to play and have fun. Children are a vital part of our community and we want to make sure that they are included as much as possible.

What should I wear?

In the words of Bishop Cas, “Clothes.” We are truly a come-as-you-are community and we do not care what you wear. You will see people wearing everything from shorts to suits… including our pastoral staff. You are welcome with whatever you have. We’re just glad you came.

The Revision House Experience

Can you walk me through a Worship Gathering?

Looks Like…

  • A loving community of believers of all walks of life, many different age groups, and from many different cultures seeking God together.
  • A truly “come-as-you-are” church–you will see people in everything from sweats to suits including our leaders.
  • Not your normal church setup– we are in the building process and also want to give people space to engage how they need to. If you see a couch, it’s supposed to be there.

Feels Like…

  • An atmosphere that promotes hope, healing, and deliverance from all physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional pain and suffering without condemnation.
  • A space for people to experience and walk in agape (unconditional) love grounded by God’s word.
  • A place where you are challenged and encouraged to grow and pursue a relationship with God and have people willing to teach and support your journey.

Sounds Like…

  • Lively praise and worship which reflects our global society and bridges generations.
  • People engaging in the presence of God through unrestrained praise, intimate worship, and Spirit-filled, Spirit-led prayer corporately and through personal prayer and laying of hands.
  • Uncompromised preaching of the Word of God which impacts the heart and brings people closer to God.

So I heard about this thing called “Spiritual Gifts.” What does your church believe about that?

We believe that the Holy Spirit is still living and active in the life of the church and helps us live a Christ-centered life outside of its doors. The goal of the Holy Spirit is to empower us to share and show the reality of God to a world that is looking for hope and answers. A part of that sharing and showing is functioning in the spiritual gifts. You may see people receiving prophetic words, people speaking in tongues, people being healed or receiving deliverance, and other forms of these gifts in action.

We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit does move “in decency and order” and that the work of the Holy Spirit is as transformative as it is demonstrative. Bishop Cas quotes Dr. Gertrude Stacks a lot: “The Holy Ghost ain’t spooky.” We are quick to discern what God is seeking to do, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. We encourage people to come seeking God in whatever way he decides to move.

You can check out our belief statement for more insight. If you have more questions and want to speak with someone, email us at admin@revisionhouse.org or complete a Connect Card and share your availability.

Do you all take up an offering? Bonus Question: why do churches take up an offering?

We do offer an opportunity to give financially to the church at every gathering.

Since churches are religious and nonprofit organizations, the majority of funding comes from the members who are a part of the church and outside donors and supporters. This practice has happened since Biblical times.

You have probably heard two different words– tithes and offering. There is a difference. Tithes are considered the primary giving to the church. The word tithes means “tenth.” In the Bible, people would give the first 10% of their harvest as an offering to God. This practice has shifted to people giving the first 10% of their pay to the church. The tithe is supposed to cover three things– the needs of the church (rent, bills, supplies, etc.), the care of the leaders, and the care of the people. The offering is “above and beyond” the tithe or is giving from those who may not be a member of that church.

We know that many people cannot give 10% of their income and desire to ensure people have what they need. We encourage people to tithe prayerfully– “as God directs and enables”–and also encourage people to share their time and talents in a balanced manner. We also encourage you to tithe to your local church and then give an offering as God directs. Ultimately, it’s between you and God.

So, how does giving work at your church?

We have a strict policy that does not allow for coercive (forced) giving. That means, no one will ever guilt you or force you to give an offering and you are not obligated to do so.

We integrate our giving time into our gatherings either during Praise and Worship or at the end of the service. Unlike many churches, we encourage you to bring your tithes and offering to the box as a representation of sowing or planting a seed. Typically, offering is a very happy occaision as it is another form of worship– and we like to have fun.

If you decide to give, we accept cash, check, and debit/credit cards on-site and offer digital giving via Givelify, PayPal, or CashApp. You can give electronically at any time. All funds raised by the church go directly into the local, national, and international ministry work of Revision House. You can learn more about our digital giving options here.

Other Questions

Do I have to give you my information?

No. We encourage people to complete our Connect Card so we are able to stay in contact with you and maintain our records. We will not sell your information or give it away. The bare minimum we ask for is your name and email address, and we will not spam you with a lot of emails. However, it does make the administrative process easier if you decide to become a member or receive aid or assistance from us.

Rapid Fire Round…

Are women allowed to serve as leaders at Revision House?

Yes. In fact, Bishop Cas preached a whole message about this.  There are many women in the Bible who have led in many different ways and the Bible empowers all to preach the Gospel. There are many instances in the New Testament of women serving in capacities equivalent to the modern-day pastorate.

I am a part of the LGBTQ community. Am I able to come to Revision House?

Yes. The gospel and the love of God is for everyone. We would love to have you worship with us and be a part of our community.

I have a… past. I have tried to attend churches but I have been made unwelcome. Can I come to Revision House?

As stated in the last question, yes. The gospel and the love of God is for everyone. We would love to have you worship with us and be a part of our community.

We all have a story and things that have happened, yet it is our responsibility to provide a space of redemption and revision for all people and keep people safe. Please feel free to speak with Bishop Cas and share your story. The worst-case scenario is that you may not be able to serve in certain roles of the church or at certain events based on any pending litigation, charges, or conditions for parole or probation, or you may be invited to serve as an online member.

I need assistance or help, but I am not a member of the church. Would you be able to help me?

We are willing to assist in any way that we can. At minimum, we may be able to connect you with resources to support you. If financial assistance is needed, we typically either pay the bill/vendor directly or purchase the item needed. As a small and rebuilding church, our immediate resources are limited. There may be a “cooling-off” period before we are able to assist.

Because of our limited resources, current and active members of Revision House receive priority in emergency situations. “Active” means you have committed to being a part of the church, are engaging in the life of the church in a consistent and continuous manner, and stay connected to the congregation and the leaders for prayer, discipleship, and support.

Did we miss any questions? Is there anything else you want to know? You can contact us by e-mail at admin@revisionhouse.org and we would be happy to be of assistance.
